Monitor.CAT is designed to collect only the technical data required to connect your WordPress site to the Monitor.CAT service and provide monitoring, diagnostics, and remote management features.

What the plugin collects
The Monitor.CAT connector plugin collects only what is necessary to provide the service:
- WordPress version and PHP version
- Active plugin and theme inventory (name, slug, version, status)
- Site health and configuration metadata (e.g. HTTPS status, REST API availability, update status)
- Connection metadata (site URL, site ID, pairing status, connection timestamps)
- Account and contact metadata used for pairing and support workflows (e.g. admin or connect email)
What the plugin does NOT collect
- WordPress passwords or administrator credentials
- Full database contents
- Full post, page, or media content
- Visitor tracking cookies or advertising-purpose tracking data
- Payment card or financial account data
How we use your data
Collected data is used exclusively to:
- Connect and authenticate your site with Monitor.CAT
- Generate diagnostics and security and health reports
- Provide alerting and operational status visibility
- Enable authorized remote actions you explicitly configure
Data storage and retention
All data is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS and stored in encrypted infrastructure within the EU. After disconnect or uninstall, data is queued for deletion within 30 days, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
Your rights (GDPR / EEA)
If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about your connected site
- Request rectification of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restriction of or objection to processing where applicable
- Withdraw consent by disconnecting or uninstalling the plugin
